Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience and RCIS and/or ARRT-R certification for a Cardiac Cath Lab position.

Details
  • Work in a unit with 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Procedures include IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, structural heart interventions, PFO closure, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman
  • Equipment used includes GE Innova IGS, Philips imaging systems, GE MacLab, IVUS, and FFR
  • Epic and GE Healthcare charting systems used
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, rotating Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • On-call required up to 13 weekdays as needed, 5:00 PM-6:00 AM Mon-Thu
  • Weekend coverage required, including on-call Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:00 AM (3 weekends per contract)
  • Holiday coverage required, inclusive of on-call as scheduled
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience required
  • ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS certification preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Experience with 3D imaging preferred
  • Proficiency in EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Skilled in scrub and circulator roles, maintaining sterile field, and equipment set-up
  • Experience with left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Experience with IABP placement/removal and temporary/permanent pacemaker insertion
  • Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures
  • RNs with recent/current cath/interventional scrub experience will be considered for this tech role
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Role involves both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures as well as special procedures in the hybrid OR
  • Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory as needed
  • Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
