Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs.
  • Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, designing, and coordinating of small projects.
  • Independently applies architectural concepts and designs.
  • Writes draft copies of reports and specifications.
  • Carries out assignments that require developing new or improved techniques and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Project Leads and Architects to enable them to establish and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Participate in the design process, guiding teams in developing innovative architectural concepts that align with project objectives and client aspirations.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to define design criteria, project scope, and budget considerations.
  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive design packages, including detailed drawings, 3D visualizations, and presentations, using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp).
  • Apply understanding of materials, finishes, construction techniques, and building systems to ensure design feasibility, constructability, and sustainability.
  • Facilitate design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and design reviews to encourage a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate MEP, structural, and other engineering considerations into the design process.
  • Ensure adherence to codes, regulations, and industry standards while championing design excellence.
  • Participate in client presentations and engage in effective communication to address design inquiries and modifications.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field from an ABET-accredited school.
  • 3+ years of experience in architectural design and project leadership.
  • Understanding of building systems, construction methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality architectural projects from concept through completion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using architectural software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience mentoring junior designers and guiding project teams.
  • Commencement of AXP Program.
