We focus on innovative vessel designs and works closely with customers from concept through delivery to ensure each boat meets exact operational needs. Designers and builders have access to modern prototyping and testing resources and are actively involved in on-water trials and performance validation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Marine Designer to join our growing team, with an immediate need for a lead designer who can take a prominent role. This on-site position involves designing custom aluminum boats (primarily patrol, police, fire, and similar vessels) in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. With a record-high backlog, the role focuses on efficient, high-quality designs using strong 3D CAD skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create 3D model customizations for aluminum workboats
  • Incorporate feedback from internal and external customers into designs
  • Propose design solutions to meet performance requirements
  • Research components and materials for new applications
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications, assembly/build drawings, and cut sheets to ensure conformity with standards and customer requirements
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformity with design and compliance with operational and safety standards
  • Provide technical support for vessel construction
  • Support production team members by answering questions and problem-solving during boat builds in progress
  • Perform other related activities as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience designing with aluminum sheet metal
  • Strong 3D solid modeling skills
  • Experience creating assembly/build drawings, cut sheets, and working closely with fabrication teams
  • Advanced computer skills, including 3D CAD, analytical tools, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to navigate and succeed in a dynamic smaller company environment
  • Strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to work effectively independently or on a team
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker who performs well under pressure and within deadlines
  • Willingness to work on-site (no remote option due to close collaboration with fabrication team)

Preferred Requirements
