A & H Metals, Inc. is hiring now for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our expert team in Newark, DE. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with a background in reverse engineering, prototyping, and R&D machining. Experience with Southwestern Industries mills and lathes using ProtoTRAK controls is a major plus.

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate and maintain manual machining equipment with precision and efficiency
  • Work with Southwestern Industries mills and lathes using ProtoTRAK M2 and SMX controls
  • Review blueprints, samples, and instructions to ensure accuracy
  • Support R&D and prototype machining projects
  • Assist with sheet metal and miscellaneous shop needs as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area


Qualifications/Requirements:
 

  • Manual machining experience required (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, some exotics)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • ProtoTRAK experience preferred; Southwestern mills/lathes experience a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Knowledge of steels, alloys, and NDE processes preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
