Sasco River Center is a premier multidisciplinary care facility offering exceptional, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and their families. Our collaborative team includes neuropsychologists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, executive function coaches, and behavior analysts working together to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services.

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and collaborative Behavior Interventionist (RBT) to join our expanding ABA department. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), providing high-quality, individualized behavioral intervention services across clinic, school, home, and community
settings.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing multidisciplinary practice while receiving ongoing mentorship, supervision, and professional development from an experienced team of BCBAs. As our ABA department continues to expand, Registered Behavior Technicians will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care while collaborating with professionals across multiple disciplines.


Behavior Interventionist (RBT) Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, one-to-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs developed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Deliver services across clinic, school, home, and community settings as assigned.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies.
  • Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data using electronic data collection systems.
  • Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs regarding client progress, treatment implementation, and clinical concerns.
  • Assist with preparation of individualized teaching materials and therapeutic supports.
  • Participate in parent coaching sessions as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, educators, physicians, and members of Sasco River Center's multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing clinical training.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
  • Follow BACB ethical standards and organizational policies to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Perform additional clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification strongly preferred.
  • Employees who are not currently RBT certified will complete the 40-hour RBT training course within their first two weeks of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, or a related field required. Enrolled in or Graduated with a Master's degree or higher program in Psychology, Counseling/Therapy, Education, Social Work, Behavior Analysis, SLP, OT, PT or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years ABA experience or implementing evidence-based treatments to neurodiverse children and adolescents with developmental diagnoses required 
  • Experience working with young children required, with the ability to utilize play-based approaches to support learning, engagement, and skill development.
  • Experience supporting children and adolescents with daily living skills, executive functioning, problem-solving, independence, and adaptive skill development.
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic, school, home, and community settings throughout Fairfield County.
  • Ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and basic technology.
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred
