The 340B Account Specialist is the primary point of contact to the 340B qualified healthcare providers (covered entities) and contract pharmacies and is responsible for ensuring that the highest level of customer service and attentiveness to our customers is provided.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive account management including helping our entities manage a compliant 340B program,
  • Responsible for owning and building the relationship with our managed accounts.
  • Responsible for developing a communication plan with the client that promotes awareness about products, tools, interfaces, modules, services, etc.
  • Follow plans created by Executives to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met by maintaining open, clear, and consistent dialogue with external end-users and internal contacts.
  • Responsible for articulating the needs and desires of the customer and translating them into deliverable plans.
  • Responsible for leading solution development efforts that best address customer needs.
  • Lead calls which helps the entity know how their program is performing and following up on action items.
  • Lead quarterly financial performance reports and mock audits assisting the entity in finding areas of improvement in their program.
  • Assist entities in maximizing their program savings via expansion of contract pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, referral prescription captures, and other creative ways.
  • Take customer calls and help with answering questions, training, troubleshooting, and following through.
  • Assist our entities in preparing for internal and external audits.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies within the customers' use of the application.
  • Stay up to date with all 340B guidelines and using that experience to help our entities improve their program performance.
  • Analyze capture rates and work with the technical team to resolve data file issues.
  • Convey industry trends and product feedback from pharmacy stakeholders to the internal team to assist in developing product enhancements and additional offerings.
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process and other operational improvements.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  • Comply with Maxor's Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor's Compliance Program.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  • Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer focus and relationship building skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • 3+ years' experience in account management in 340B or other health-care setting required. 
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • ACE Certified Preferred. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the 340B drug discount program.
  • Split-billing and contract pharmacy experience.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask managing multiple projects at once while serving as the subject matter experts for the covered entities and pharmacies.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
