Job description

Overview

The Pharmacy 340b Analyst/Auditor will be responsible for analysis, investigations and special projects associated with 340b drug program. This person will assist with development of monitoring protocols and ensuring effective internal controls for the program.

Developing a thorough understanding of the split-billing/third party administrator systems and the functions to be preferred. Conducting weekly and monthly 340B audits of contract pharmacies and in-house pharmacies to verify adherence to the 340B program guidelines and policies, and providing results to the System Director of Pharmacy Services. Development and updating 340B program reports detailing volume, financial value, and other metrics as needed to accurately depict findings from audits to be shared with the pharmacy leadership team.

Managing multiple audits accurately and consistently tracking and reporting outcomes for compliance and audit purposes. Developing and/or maintaining reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking overall 340B program compliance and financial impact to the organization. Reviewing outpatient retail pharmacy claims for 340B appropriate accumulations. Helping oversee inventory management of 340B purchased items in physical inventories, virtual inventories, automated-dispensing cabinets, and contract pharmacies. Verifying compliance with various rebate model systems Identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities by working closely with pharmacy leadership team. Cross training with other systems hospitals 340B platforms and EHRs Attending educational trainings including conferences, webinars, roundtables as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate or Equivalent required Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management or a similar field of studypreferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Registration with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. PTCB and/or ICPT certified preferred. 340b University Certification or ability to complete within 90 days
