340B Program Advanced Pharmacy Coordinator-Employee Pharmacy

Position: Full-Time

Reports to: 340B Program Manager and Pharmacy Director

Job Summary:

The 340B Program Advanced Pharmacy Coordinator will assist in managing 340B compliance to federal regulations, HRSA guidelines, developing policies and procedures, in performing ongoing analysis and audits of the program and data validation to ensure accurate and optimal performance. Assist in managing relationships with hospital wholesalers and contract pharmacies, coordinate operational efforts from supporting departments, participate in development and roll out of the additional program opportunities, among other duties as the program progresses into implementation.

Job Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician by the State of Tennessee Board of Pharmacy; or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active Tennessee license; or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with current certification. Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year hospital pharmacy experience. Possess knowledge of the 340B program standards and requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrates proficient knowledge of 340B Program rules, regulations, guidelines, details, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot pharmacy billing issues and ensure that adequate system checks are reviewed to prevent billing issues.

Requirements:

• Must meet the employer’s color vision standards for the role
• The candidate must havemanual dexterityandgood hand-eye coordinationto operate small hand tools, assemble components, and adjust equipment. Ability tohandle, manipulate, and place small objectsis required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environmental Conditions:

• Works primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• Office environment, exposure to computer screens for lengthy periods of time.
• The position requires extensive use of computers using a standard computer keyboard.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, use hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• This position may require the employee to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl.
• Requires operating standard office equipment (i.e., telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, etc.)
