TEKsystems is looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong PeopleSoft experience to join a client's development team in New Orleans. In this role, you will work on a large enterprise HR system, helping improve system functionality, performance, and reliability. You'll be involved in the full development process-from analyzing requirements and designing solutions to development, testing, and troubleshooting complex issues. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into complex systems, writing efficient code, and working with a collaborative team of developers, analysts, and testers to deliver reliable solutions. What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using PeopleSoft development tools.
- Build and modify components using Application Designer, PeopleCode, and Application Engine.
- Develop and maintain PeopleSoft reports using BI Publisher.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and work with Oracle database structures.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and resolve complex system defects.
- Support system enhancements, integrations, and ongoing maintenance.
- Work within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from design through deployment.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and testers to deliver stable, high-quality software. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of PeopleSoft software development experience.
- Strong experience with PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleCode, and Application Engine.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret or Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with the PeopleSoft HCM module.
- Experience creating reports using BI Publisher.
