Job title: Fastener Assembly Cell Tech

Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Hours:

2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-1am; Fri 2:30-11pm

Pay Grade:

2nd shift:$18.50 plus shift premium $1

Location: AlphaUSA East Building

32711 Glendale Ave., Livonia, MI. 48150

Overall Purpose

Sets up/changeover and operates powered press to trim, punch, form, shape, notch and draw metal stock by performing the following duties and responsibilities for the job position.

Educational Requirements

1. Minimum High School Degree Required

Responsibilities & Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job position.

· Assembles, installs and aligns dies into press according to specifications

· Adjusts shut height and speed to set-up sheet

· Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction

· Inspects parts for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct error using Statistical Process Controls

· Cleans machines and related work areas

Job Qualifications

· Must have basic computer skills and navigation

· Be able to perform each primary duty and responsibility satisfactorily

· Possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

· Ability to compare rate, ratio and percent

· Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs

Mental ability to:

· Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

· Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram format using several abstract, concrete variables

Physical ability to:

· Walk, talk and hear

· Visually see close, distance, peripherally, and color; also recognize depth and adjust focus

· Stand for long periods of time

· Reach with hands and arms

· Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch

· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
