Position Summary

The 2nd shift supervisor is a working supervisor position, reports to the Operations Manager and plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations on 2nd shift. Responsibilities include line scheduling, setup, pouching, product quality checks, packing, shift-end cleanup, and periodic cycle counting. This role also carries responsibility for directing line staff, coaching and development of that staff, maintaining production data in ERP (Factory Track), and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

Production Line / General Production Oversight

  • Direct and oversee 2nd shift staff, providing coaching, addressing performance, and working with HR and the Operations Manager on discipline as needed.
  • Manages employee timecards.
  • Work alongside team to meet or exceed hourly pouching rate and production output expectations.
  • Set up, change over, adjust, and run production equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to QC processes, standards, and lot control requirements.
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory verification as directed.
  • Operate hi-lo and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Record and analyze production data (downtime, counts, yields, etc.) and enter into ERP (Factory Track) and other required systems.
  • Support data integrity within ERP, ensuring accurate reporting of production results, material usage, and inventory levels.
  • Train team members in ERP-related tasks to ensure accurate and timely input.
  • Coordinate with other departments (QC, Shipping, Procurement) to ensure smooth workflow and accurate ERP transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.


Work Environment

  • Work primarily in indoor environments such as a warehouse, some areas without air conditioning.
  • Use of PPE required when mixing or handling raw materials (gloves, eye protection, face mask).
  • Close collaboration with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supportive and safety-focused workplace culture.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and manage drums, buckets of raw materials, and blending equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Prolonged periods of standing during production activities.
  • Occasional desk/computer work for ERP data entry and reporting.

Reports directly to the Operations Manager.

  • Solid understanding of weights and measurements in grams, ounces, and pounds for both liquids and powders.

  • Basic computer literacy, with ability to use ERP (Syteline) for production, inventory, and reporting tasks.
