Job description

Drafter Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings to support a wide range of engineering and architectural projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs align with project goals and meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
  • Prepare schematics, layouts, and assembly drawings for mechanical systems and components.
  • Utilize additional tools like SketchUp, NavisWorks, MicroStation, and Civil 3D to support project development.
  • Review, update, and revise technical drawings to reflect design changes and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Maintain organized records of design documents and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks (required).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles (strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools such as SketchUp, NavisWorks, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or basic 2D animation techniques (a plus).
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate, quality work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Degree or certification in Drafting Technology or a related field (preferred, but not required).

Preferred Background

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Prior work within an engineering or architectural firm.
