JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the F&B General Manager, the incumbents job is tosupport the smooth operation of a restaurant by clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and maintaining the dining area's cleanliness.They also assist wait-staff by delivering food, refilling drinks, and stocking condiment stations to ensure high caliber service to customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

May include but are not limited to:

  • Clearing tables:Removing dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses.
  • Resetting tables:Setting tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and napkins.
  • Stocking:Refilling condiments, napkins, and other table essentials.
  • Serving:Delivering food and beverages when servers are busy.
  • Assisting servers:Helping with tasks like clearing plates and refilling drinks.
  • Cleaning:Wiping down tables and chairs, mopping floors, and vacuuming.
  • Polishing:Polishing silverware and glassware.
  • Stocking service stations:Ensuring a sufficient supply of napkins, utensils, and other necessary items.
  • Maintaining safety and cleanliness:Following restaurant health and safety regulations.
  • Closing activities:Cleaning the dining area at the end of the shift, such as stacking chairs and preparing stations for the next day.
  • Communicating with staff:Informing servers of table availability and guest needs.
  • Assisting with dishwashing:Scraping, stacking, or loading dishes into the dishwasher.
  • Knowledgeable of and adherence to food and beverage department regulations and procedures.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.

Must possess good guest service skills.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to work in a smoking environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 100 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending. Pushes, pulls, stocks and unloads carts and liquor cabinets.
