Lead Teacher – 2-Year-Old Classroom (Early Childhood Education)
Location: The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards, New York, NY
Pay: $22–$25 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Lead Teacher – Toddler / 2-Year-Old Classroom

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Lead Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role supports children during a key stage of independence, language growth, and early social development through structured routines and engaging classroom experiences.
This position is ideal for educators who enjoy leading a classroom team while creating a warm, consistent environment that helps young learners build confidence and early learning foundations.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Lead daily classroom routines for a 2-year-old early childhood classroom 
  •  Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the L.E.A.P. Curriculum 
  •  Support early communication, social interaction, and self-help skill development 
  •  Create a structured environment that promotes independence and participation 
  •  Partner with assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and engagement 
  •  Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and developmental progress 
  •  Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing standards 
Qualifications

  •  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required or in progress 
  •  Minimum 6 months of classroom teaching experience required 
  •  Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for toddlers 
  •  CPR/First Aid certification preferred 
  •  Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
