Job description

Do you want flexibility in your schedule, insurance coverage, a competitive salary and access to a retirement plan? Are you looking for a dynamic work environment where team spirit and mutual support are the order of the day? Our employees are full of great humanism and kindness! Let yourself be charmed by our unique style of residence. Located in an enchanting environment, on the banks of the Rivière des Prairies in the western suburbs of Montreal, the Château Pierrefonds is a private residence for semi-autonomous seniors. We are currently looking for a nurse to fill a part-time position (20 hours per week) but with the possibility of becoming a full-time position. This is a daytime weekday position but a presence on the different shifts will be required including weekends. The exact schedule remains to be determined. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Professional Services, the nurse will have the following main responsibilities: Carry out the assessment and planning of nursing care for clients who are losing their autonomy. Ensure communication with the families of our residents as well as with the various stakeholders in the community. Play a leadership role with the care teams, including attendants and auxiliary nurses. Respond appropriately in a crisis or emergency situation. Support the team in place during vaccination programs. Assess a person's functional autonomy and state of health to see if they match our service offering with a view to admission. Maintain medical records, both paper and electronic. Assist the doctor during his weekly visit and ensure that each file consulted is updated. Carry out any other task as stipulated in the professional code. Job Requirements: Have a very strong affinity for working with this type of clientele. Hold a practice permit from the Order of Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ). Have your CPR training up to date Minimum 5 years of experience with residents who have a loss of autonomy or cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease. Given the linguistic profile of our residents and their families, a good knowledge of English is required.
