Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I (1st Shift) - Seismic. The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour.
CORE HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM
Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
  • May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keeps work areas clean and safe.
  • Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughoutthe facility, department, and area of responsibility.
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
• Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open.
• Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
