Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Production Associate to join our Liquid Egg Processing team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Thursday 6:00am-2:30pm and some Fridays.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.50 with the potential of increasing to $17.70 after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
Loader/Material Handler:
  • Lifting stacks of flats of eggs on to the loader conveyor efficiently
  • Disposing of inedible product in correct containers when needed.

Candler:
  • Being able to recognize and remove any dirt's, rotten, blood and leaking eggs.

Breaker:
  • Being able to recognize and remove any shells or blood in the cups.

Scanner:
  • Being able to recognize and remove any eggs that could create contamination (dirt's, leaker, blood, rot).

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
