A Material Handler at The Pittsburgh Paints Company receives, ships and handles raw materials, packaging and finished goods as it enters or leaves the site. Key Responsibilities May Include Following all safety rules, processes and procedures Receiving and handling raw materials needed for production Loading and unloading trailers, following dock safety procedures Operating robotic palletizers, stretch wrappers, conveyors Maintaining clean and orderly work areas
Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older High School diploma or equivalent preferred Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred Stand for extended periods of time, maneuvering around equipment Lift up to 50 pounds routinely and up to 80 pounds infrequently Follow detailed instructions and record progress Operate material handling equipment, hoists and other equipment Work in a team environment and take ownership over assigned area of responsibility
