Material Handler - 1st Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift for fabrication in Hodges, SC. The core hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, M-F. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Material Handler will be responsible for material movement within the facility with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for material handling for the Low Voltage Assemblies. They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the warehouse and logistics department as needed.

In this function you will:

  • Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials efficiently.
  • Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
  • Use radio or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and method sheets.
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries and inspect materials for any damage.
  • Perform inventory transactions through the MRP system accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct cycle count transactions as required.
  • Safely transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
  • Dispose of scrap materials (excluding metals) according to procedures.
  • Comply with all safety policies/procedures and WSRA's.
  • Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.
