Job description

  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of all perishable tooling fixtures and wire processing machinery.  
  • Cuts and marks wire per drawing and program specifications with the appropriate equipment
  • Maintains a high level of quality and productivity in all wire marking and cutting operations.
  • Use existing maintenance logs to track all machine maintenance.
  • Assist at times in set up of production personnel on the work floor.
  • All “PR” status wire / tubing orders shall be cut / finished daily.
  • Advanced knowledge of IPC Training Modules.
  • Stage work orders
  • Strip wire using wire stripping machine
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area

Required Skills/Abilities:

·         High attention to detail is required

·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with the ability to speak and understand English

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers

·         Must be able to convert units of measurement

·         Time management

·         Knowledge of operating crimping press, computer micrometer, scales, and other measuring devices

·         Read and interpret schematic drawings diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions

·         Must be required to read measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, calipers, scales, and use magnifying aids

·         Critical thinking, required to troubleshoot machine issues

Education and Experience:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

·         1-3 years related experience

·         Or equivalent combination of education and experience
