Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Position Summary
Jamco Products is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication equipment including laser, press brake, folder, and punch press machines. This role supports production by producing quality parts safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines to cut, bend, punch, and form metal parts
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules
  • Select machine programs and monitor operations for accuracy
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using gauges and measuring tools
  • Identify defects and perform minor rework as needed
  • Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, basic upkeep)
  • Use grinders/tools to remove burrs and sharp edges
  • Move materials using forklifts or cranes (as needed)
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred
  • CNC experience a plus
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as needed
