Location: Morrison, IL
Pay: $18.50/hour
FIRST SHIFT/Schedule: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
Overtime: 20+ hours/week during busy season

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of organic materials through the shakers, coordinating with heavy equipment operators, and performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The Material Handler will assist in various tasks as directed by the foreman.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain material flow through shakers by breaking up bridging
  • Scrape finishing screens to ensure product flow
  • Perform housekeeping duties to prevent material buildup under conveyors, aisles, and catwalks while following safety practices
  • Meet established quality and quantity standards
  • Report equipment issues to maintenance personnel
  • Assist with small bag line operations as needed
  • Support pallet restacking and general clean-up tasks

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to follow safety practices to protect self and others
  • Comfortable working in dusty environments and varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and remain on feet for extended periods
