Job description

Our client is seeking a First-Shift Production Operator to operate and monitor manufacturing and packaging equipment while following established safety, quality, and production procedures.
The Production Operator will support the assembly, processing, and packaging of products on assigned production lines. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, completing quality checks, identifying production issues, and assisting with basic equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and Production Line Leaders and is based at the company's Baltimore manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices within all production areas
  • Immediately report GMP violations or nonconformance concerns to a supervisor
  • Follow all food safety, workplace safety, and quality procedures
  • Monitor product quality and notify Quality Control of deviations from established standards
  • Operate assigned production equipment, including packers, labelers, and related machinery
  • Monitor equipment to ensure production processes operate safely, smoothly, and according to schedule
  • Assist with troubleshooting when machinery is not operating correctly
  • Support minor adjustments and basic equipment repairs when authorized
  • Assist with assembling, processing, and packaging products
  • Minimize waste involving raw materials, boxes, bottles, packaging materials, and finished products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the assigned production workspace
  • Follow applicable environmental and sustainability procedures
  • Perform duties in accordance with organizational safety and operating standards
  • Complete other production duties and tasks as assigned

Schedule
  • First shift: 5:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Candidates must be able to work overtime and varying days of the week based on production needs

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow written operating procedures and work instructions
