Job description

POSITION: Assembler 1

PAY: $16.00/hr.

SHIFT: M-F, 7am-3:30pm

LOCATION: Anchor Fabrication, Denton, TX

Anchor Fabrication, LLC, a precision metal fabrication company is seeking an Assembler 1.

The position assumes the operation of different machines to produce metal parts to assemble component parts to customer specification using various hand tools and methods. Tasks could include loading and unloading a paint line, sanding metal parts, minor assembly, inspection, and/or packing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied.

  • Insert and align work piece against fixtures and stops and activate machine
  • Observe operation of the machine to ensure proper function
  • Inspect parts and ensure they are being produced to blueprint or operator instructions
  • Maintain production count and monitor SPC control charts
  • Maintain machine and tools for good operating condition
  • Clean excess grease, oil, dirt, dust and remove scrap as required
  • Complete any necessary documentation
  • Meet Efficiency Standards
  • Meet Housekeeping and 5S Standards
  • Has the Authority and Responsibility to report non-conforming product

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanically adept
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and work under schedule demands
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Able to read all precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Experience in using hand and/or powered machines
  • Experience in a metal fabrication area a plus
