Responsibilities

  • Responsible to take orders from patrons and return these orders in a timely manner.
  • Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
  • Writes order on check or memorizes it.
  • Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
  • Carves meats, bones fish and fowl, and prepares flaming dishes and desserts at patron's table.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to Cashier.
  • Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by establishment's size and practices.

  • Responsible to have knowledge of patron limitations and company policy and procedure regarding alcohol beverage limitations.

Requirements

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Walking/Standing 70% - Bending/Lifting 30% (overhead, arms, length up to 35 lbs.)
  • On feet 85% of work shift EDUCATiONAL REQUiREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Zero to one year experience in cocktail serving preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain Alcohol Beverage Control card.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read write and understand simple instructions
  • Knowledge of all kitchen/bar equipment, Micro System, ABC laws, regulations and gaming laws.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol
  • Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines
  • Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of guests at all times.
