Job description

Job Title: Grounds Crew Member
Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents
Department: Grounds
Location: Union League Golf Club at Torresdale (3801 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114)
Description:
The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale's Golf Course Maintenance Department is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors in a landscape maintenance atmosphere. The Golf Course Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance of an 18-hole golf course, a 9-hole par 3 course "The Landing", a swimming pool, tennis courts, and property landscaping. No experience in golf course maintenance is required. All job duties can be taught.
Skills and Requirements:
โ€ข Physically fit and able to move quickly from place to place
โ€ข Capable of walking 5-7 miles per day at a brisk walking pace
โ€ข Self-motivated and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency
โ€ข Capable of following detailed instructions
โ€ข Willing to work in varying climatic conditions including rainy, cold, and hot weather
โ€ข Punctual and have reliable transportation
โ€ข Able to complete a criminal background
Hours:
โ€ข Workdays vary 5:00 am - 5:00 pm. Your desired schedule will be considered.
โ€ข Full Time Seasonal = 40 hours per week or Part-Time Seasonal = 15 hours per week
โ€ข Seasonal employment mid-March - Thanksgiving
โ€ข Work holidays as needed. Most holidays pay 8 hours hours worked.
โ€ข 1 weekend morning - 4 hours (Saturday or Sunday) per week or every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday mornings)
Compensation:
โ€ข $16.00-18.00 per hour depending on experience
โ€ข Uniform shirts, hat, raingear, work boots, and safety gear provided
โ€ข Employee meals are provided when the clubhouse kitchen is open
โ€ข Employee of the month reward opportunity
โ€ข Eligible for a year-end bonus based on attendance and punctuality
โ€ข Eligible for full-time year-round employment including health insurance benefits, paid time off, and 401K
โ€ข Free golf on select Mondays and Wednesdays based on tee sheet availability
