The Business Gifting Sales Rep positionis an hourly rate plus commission position and has the ability to work from home. The Business Gifting Sales Rep will be responsible for developing new business-to-business sales from small to mid-sized ($700M) companies within an assigned territory through direct contact in order to achieve maximum sales, profitability and growth. The Business Gifting Sales Rep identifies and qualifies new business opportunities by building relationships with potential prospects viatelephone and e-mail. This role will cultivate existing client relationships to retain sales from a designated portfolio of existing customers and be required to network within an organization to increase the overall revenue produced from each customer within the assigned portfolio. The Business Gifting Sales Repwill strive to maintain strong business relationships with small to mid-sized businesses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales and responsibility for revenue, profit targets, and territory budget.
  • Meet and/or exceed assigned sales productivity goals and/or quotas on a regular basis.
  • Manage leads to closure for small to mid-sized accounts, or handoff to outside sales teams for accounts over $700M in revenue annually.
  • Prospect, identify, develop, negotiate, and close new customers.
  • Develop and manage pipeline to meet or exceed target.
  • Closely manage the sales process from qualifying to closing.
  • Produce and manage accurate forecasts.
  • Understand the business landscape and be able to articulate core differentiators.
  • Provide feedback concerning marketing and product teams to the Corporate Sales leadership team
  • Implement sales strategies/call prioritization to achieve revenue and targets.
  • Prospects for NEW clients to generate NEW business.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations with both internal and external customers.
  • Prospect entire territory by maximizing the opportunity afforded by sales leads generated from a variety of resources.
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls from potential business partners that express interest in Harry and David products.
  • Conduct intro and initial value proposition calls via the phone (40 calls/day) and email (30 emails/day).
  • Effectively generate leads, qualify leads, and assess their value.
  • Drive qualified opportunities through the Sales Process.
  • Effectively articulate the Harry and David value proposition during an intro call.
  • Break down barriers to entry and engage with key decision makers.
  • Track all activity, contacts, accounts, and opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and meet aggressive goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A High School diploma or GED required, a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience with Sales.
  • Prior B2B/Corporate Sales experience preferred.
  • A strong "hunter" and "farmer" mentality.
  • The ability to succeed in a quota driven environment.
  • Must be able to handle a high volume of calls and have great telephone skills.
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude, assertive closing skills and the maturity and self-confidence to work well under pressure.
  • A proven track record of having a goal oriented approach, to reach and exceed monthly/yearly quotas.
  • Must be organized, able to work independently and as a team player, have a positive attitude, and good listening skills.
  • Proven Excel and Word skills.
  • Experience in Salesforce.com desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
