What are 18 Servers?

An 18 Server is a restaurant server who is at least 18 years old, which is often a legal requirement to serve alcohol in many states. Their primary responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, answering customer questions, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. In some locations, being 18 allows servers to handle and serve alcoholic drinks, unlike younger servers who may be restricted from these duties. This makes 18 Servers valuable in establishments that serve alcohol, as they can provide full service to all guests.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Server, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Server, you need strong customer service skills, basic math abilities, and familiarity with food and beverage safety regulations; a high school diploma is often preferred.
