Job description

Be at the forefront of cutting-edge defense technology. As a 14U Air Defense Artillery Recruit, you will be part of the team that sustains airspace superiority and protects against aerial and missile attacks. Your role involves providing critical situational awareness, early warnings, and neutralizing incoming enemy aircraft and missiles using the world's most advanced radar and interceptor systems  .


How the 14U Program Works:
Under the new ADA accessions initiative, you will enlist generically as an Air Defense Artillery Soldier (14U). During week 6 of your Basic Combat Training, you will be assessed and officially assigned to one of five specialized 14-Series career fields based on your skills and the Army's needs


  • 14E: Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator/Maintainer 
  • 14G: Air Defense Battle Management System Operator 
  • 14H: Air Defense Enhanced Early Warning System Operator 
  • 14P: Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Crewmember 
  • 14T: Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer 


 Core Responsibilities


  • Detecting, tracking, and engaging enemy aerial and missile threats using high-tech defense systems .
  • Evaluating intelligence data and establishing connectivity to secure air defense networks.
  • Operating and maintaining advanced computer systems, radar networks, and missile launching stations.
  • Performing critical electronic and mechanical diagnostics.
