Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist for a Level II trauma center hospital, requiring acute care experience and Texas OT licensure.

Details
  • Acute care hospital setting within a 205-bed Level II trauma center
  • Occupational Therapy department with a team of 12 OTs and 20 PTs
  • Day shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM
  • 13-week assignment
  • Caseload of approximately 12 patients per day
  • Standard rehabilitation equipment used
  • Meditech EMR system
  • Floating required to cover all areas of the hospital
  • Weekend coverage required, including one Saturday or Sunday shift per week
Requirements
  • Active OT license in the state of Texas required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Acute care experience required, including clinical rotations during school
  • Experience with complex trauma and complex neuro patients preferred
  • High level of accountability and ability to work autonomously
Additional Information
  • Focus on standard mobility and ADL-based interventions
  • Work within a Level II trauma center environment
  • Hunter green scrub color required
