Job description

Work Where You Can Make an IMPACT
Work in an EXCITING and MEANINGFUL field teaching children with developmental disabilities ages Pre-K to 21 years old at our Center for Learning in Cheektowaga, NY or in a preschool setting throughout Erie County.
Six-week summer session to be held from July 13th - August 21st with a new employee orientation held July 7th - 9th. Opportunities available to continue employment in September.
Responsibilities include assisting teachers and therapists in planning and preparing for the child's independence, adjustment to new situations and preparation for new areas of learning along with personal hygiene care and meal feeding.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • NYS Teacher Assistant Certification or equivalent course work.

Rate of pay:
  • $16.04/hr during orientation and any hours worked outside of the summer program
  • $17.75/hr during the 6 week program
