Fiber Installation Technician (1099 Contractor) – Lumos Fiber

Location: Montgomery, AL
Project: Lumos Fiber Installations
Pay: Piece Rate / Per Completed Install
Start: Immediate

We are seeking experienced Fiber Installation Technicians for a Lumos fiber project in the Montgomery, Alabama market.

This is a 1099 contractor position with consistent work volume available for qualified technicians. Technicians will be responsible for completing residential fiber installations while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete residential FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) installations
  • Install ONTs, routers, and customer equipment
  • Run and secure fiber drops
  • Activate and test services
  • Troubleshoot installation issues when necessary
  • Complete required documentation and photos
  • Maintain quality standards and pass QC inspections

Requirements

  • Prior fiber, cable, telecommunications, or broadband installation experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable SUV, van, or truck required
