BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING
The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2025-2026 school year for the following position:
1:1 TEACHER ASSISTANT (AUTISM)
(10 Months Non-certificated) 
New Bridges Middle/High School - Paramus
Qualifications:








  1. High School diploma.
  2. Effective written and oral expression.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with or experience working with children with disabilities.
  4. Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting the needs of students with significant educational disabilities.
  5. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
  6. Experienced computer/clerical skills highly preferred.
  7. Experience working with individuals with Autism  preferred.
  8. Willing and able to complete Handle with Care training.
  9. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.

Compensation Rate/Range: $32,935-$46,685
