Job description

Our organization is in search of a Pediatric Cardiologist, particularly one with expertise in Fetal Echocardiography or advanced imaging techniques, to join the Northern Region of our Children's Health Network. The Children's Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is eager to welcome a passionate Pediatric Cardiologist to our Division of Cardiology. The ideal candidate will be committed to evidence-based practices, enhancing clinical outcomes, and increasing access to care for diverse populations.

Our Division offers extensive services for congenital and pediatric heart conditions, including specialized interventional, electrophysiology, and surgical care.

As a partner with Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School, the selected candidate will engage in collaborative academic activities and provide mentorship to residents and fellows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive care to pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart conditions in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care.

  • Proficient in Transthoracic echocardiography; additional skills in transesophageal or Fetal Echocardiography will enhance program needs and professional growth.

  • Participate in inpatient rounds and consultations for pediatric cardiac patients.

  • Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, nurse practitioners, and other members of the care team.

  • Engage in call coverage, including rotating nights and weekends.

  • Show interest in education by participating in teaching medical students and residents.

  • This role is perfect for a physician eager to make a significant impact on the health of children throughout New Jersey. We seek an outstanding, quality-focused cardiologist to excel within our multidisciplinary team and enhance pediatric heart care through evidence-based methods.

Requirements:
  • Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology.

  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.

  • Possession of a New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.

  • A demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, outcomes-oriented clinical care.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or additional training in Fetal Cardiology.

  • A desire to enhance professional skills in areas such as preventive cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, or exercise physiology.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $425,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
