Job description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of high school students as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in providing psychological services within engaging, supportive educational settings. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

What You’ll Need:

  • Active NJ School Psychologist certification
  • Prior experience working with high school-aged students is strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of psychological evaluation tools and counseling practices for adolescents
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Clear and compassionate communication skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining thorough, timely documentation and reports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for high school students
  • Deliver individual and group counseling to support student well-being and growth
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings as a valued team member, providing expert insights and recommendations
  • Communicate proactively with families, offering guidance and intervention strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Partner with faculty and staff in developing effective interventions to help students reach their full potential

This position is scheduled from September 2, 2026 through June 18, 2027, with on-site hours from 7:55am to 2:31pm, approximately 32.5 hours each week. You’ll manage a caseload of 35-45 students, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary for a successful school year.
