Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic sourcing and procurement activities through commodity analysis, RFQ management, spend reporting, and pricing support across key commodity categories. This role provides analytical and operational support to Supply Chain leadership while helping drive cost savings, supplier competitiveness, and data-driven decision making.

The position will support sourcing initiatives related to raw materials and components while assisting with price management, supplier analysis, and procurement reporting activities across North American operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist with spend management analysis and reporting across suppliers, commodities, and plants.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to support sourcing, spend visibility, cost savings tracking, and procurement performance metrics.
  • Analyze procurement data and trends to provide actionable insights supporting sourcing strategies and business decisions.
  • Support commodity pricing analysis and market tracking for key raw materials including copper and aluminum.
  • Prepare, distribute, and analyze RFQs for suppliers across multiple commodity and sourcing categories.
  • Support supplier price change reviews, analysis, and implementation activities.
  • Maintain sourcing data, pricing files, supplier quotations, and procurement reporting tools.
  • Analyze supplier pricing trends and support sourcing recommendations based on market conditions and business requirements.
  • Assist in preparing sourcing presentations, executive summaries, and procurement analytics for leadership reviews.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to support sourcing initiatives and business objectives.
  • Support cost savings tracking, validation, and reporting initiatives.

NATURE & SCOPE

The Sourcing Analyst supports strategic sourcing activities through reporting, analytics, RFQ administration, and commodity tracking. The role works closely with sourcing leadership and cross-functional teams to support procurement initiatives, supplier management activities, and cost reduction efforts.

Primary responsibilities include commodity pricing support, spend analysis, supplier quote management, and procurement reporting. The position also assists with market analysis, supplier communication, and sourcing project coordination.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, finance, or analytical experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting RFQ processes, spend analysis, and procurement reporting preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supplier data.
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred).
