Job description

Warehouse Associate – Columbus, OH

Wolff Bros. is looking for a warehouse associate for our Columbus Branch. Some duties include stocking materials, pulling items from to fill customer orders, inter-company transfers, conducts inventory, etc.

Work Week amp; Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 AM-5:15 PM, No weekends
Pay: $17.00+ plus quarterly bonuses: accuracy, safety amp; performance

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience, Order Picker experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to evolving job tasks

Job Duties:

  • Put incoming or returned items from shipping dock onto stock picker platform by hand and puts material away in storage racks
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
  • Use bar code scanner to identify items when putting inventory away or picking items
  • Picking Orders, material handling, reads order-picking labels or follows oral instructions to determine items to be moved or gathered to fill an order and records number of items moved or handled on picking labels
  • Transfers heavy or light and bulky items by hand from inventory in storage racks onto stock picker platform
  • Conveys materials on stock picker from inventory storage to designated will call or shipping dock delivery area

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
