Role: General Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
All Service Center performance metrics
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands annual budget, re-projections and monthly projections. Operates under the budgetary guidelines and reviews P&L statements with Regional Managers to ensure best practices are being met
Generates sales revenue by adding new customers as well as upselling current customers
Facilitate strong relationships with clients by engaging in proactive communication and providing exceptional customer service.
Performs and can teach semi-skilled tasks in connection with installation, takedown and modifications of barricade and graphics.
Reviews plan sets and accurately surveys future job sites to provide field measurements for barricades and graphics.
Conducts or oversees field inventory monthly.
Work with appropriate support departments to purchase and inventory all stock items, including tools, building materials, and cleaning supplies in order to achieve all installations at a high level while maintaining their budget.
Executes and ensures that all administrative duties, including process and completing work orders, employee timesheets and new hire paperwork is completely timely and accurately. .
Responsible for care, inventory and allocation of tools, uniforms and materials provided to employees.
Manage the repair, cleaning and inventory controls of all barricade panels and accompanying hardware.
Responsible for overall care and cleanliness of fleet vehicles, preventative maintenance and expense logs at their service center.
Oversee project requirements with Project Managers to ensure successful, compliant execution.
Oversee and participate in implementation of training programs for employees, including OSHA, DOT and graphics training.
Scheduling of work and appropriate workforce to ensure efficiency and controlling expenses.
Protect and secure all company assets on a daily basis
All other duties assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hire, train and motivate all new personnel with a focus on maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and safety.
Ensures all new direct report employees receive orientation, onboarding and introduction to company field procedures.
Responsible for assigning tasks, managing workloads, and adjusting labor resources as needed.
Resolve escalated issues and support others in problem-solving.
Sets and communicates labor schedules to employees timely, and minimizes disruptions to already set schedules.
Responsible for annual performance reviews, onboarding checkins, performance feedback, and addressing disciplinary issues.
Provides training, coaching, and ensures team compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Coordinate cross-department communication and ensure workflow alignment as needed.
Drives accountability by setting clear expectations and addressing performance gaps promptly.
Promotes and fosters a strong, people-focused culture aligned with company values and goals.
Oversee and be responsible for approving employee time cards and time-off as needed
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
5+ years working experience in the field of commercial construction management leading teams and/or bachelors degree in business, project management or building construction technology.
Ability to read construction plans and store elevation drawings
Strong demonstrated success in team management such as leadership, training and development, performance management, conflict resolution, and team motivation.
Demonstrated communication skills, a professional and collaborative attitude, ability to properly manage changes or issues that arise on the field.
Highly organized with exceptional time management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines and dynamic priorities.
Able to operate current software programs proficiently.
Able to take instruction and use pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to accomplish tasks and make sound decisions.
Follows, enforces and holds team accountable for company policies and protocols

Hours of work: This is a full time, exempt position often requiring at least 40 hours a week with additional hours needed at times. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday day shift hours, but requires frequent flexibility during nights and weekends.
Work environment: This position will take place in a combination of various job sites and at a company service center. Regular exposure to moving equipment, moderate to loud noise levels, and varying temperatures depending on the work environment of that shift.
Physicality: This position demands consistent physical activity throughout the shift. Employees must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, sit, bend, push, and lift or carry up to 125 lbs as needed. The role also requires the ability to climb ladders, work safely at heights exceeding 16 feet, and operate standard construction equipment. Strong verbal, auditory, and visual capabilities are essential to ensure effective communication and a safe working environment. Ability to drive long distances or sit in a company provided vehicle is also a requirement for this position.
