Job description

The Office of Research & Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst who will...

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA

  • Work with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan

  • Work with agency partners to prepare & publish research findings (e.g., statistical and narrative reports, policy briefs)

  • Use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, Python to analyze data and prepare statistical and narrative reports

Item of Note:

  • This position will work from OHFA's offices which are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.

Applicants should demonstrate on their application how they meet the preferred qualifications to receive further consideration. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related field
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience with at least one of the following:  Tableau, Power BI, R, State, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods 

To be successful in this position, applicants should possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong understanding of the primary subject matter relevant to OHFA's mission as well as the data resources that contribute to that work
