KTI Health is seeking a local contract nurse RN Electrophysiology Lab for a local contract nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

🩺 Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

Facility: Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital
Location: Columbus, OH

Shift: Days | 4×10s | 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Call: Required — 1 week every 2 months
Weekend Call: 1 weekend every 2 months
Holiday Call: 1–2 holidays/year
Travel Experience: Not required

Requirements
  • 2+ years of RN experience
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry
    • If the higher degree is in another field, a high school diploma must also be provided.
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • EP Lab / Cardiac Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with complex cardiac procedures preferred

  • Electrophysiology studies & conduction studies
  • Cardiac ablation & cardiac mapping
  • Pacemaker & AICD/ICD implantation
  • Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction
  • Watchman / LAA closure procedures
  • Cardioversion
  • Sheath removal & monitoring
  • Vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
  • IV therapy, IV starts & infusion pumps
  • Blood product administration
  • Ventilator management
  • Radiation & laser safety
  • Cardiac cath lab procedures
  • Scrub procedures
Unit Highlights
  • EP Lab: 6 rooms / 6 beds
  • Daily Census: ~22
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4 on days
  • Advanced EP program specializing in complex arrhythmias, cardiac ablations and device procedures
  • State-of-the-art cardiac mapping systems and advanced cardiology technology
  • Multidisciplinary team including electrophysiologists, RNs, radiology technologists, respiratory services, IV team, pharmacy and rapid response

Ideal Candidate: Experienced RN with strong EP Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab knowledge who is comfortable assisting with advanced electrophysiology procedures, cardiac devices, ablations, vascular access/closure and patient monitoring.
