Franklin International – Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd shift

Franklin International is among the largest privately held manufacturers of adhesives and sealants in the United States. Today, Franklin Glue Company is known as Franklin International to reflect our global distribution across 60 countries on six continents around the globe. Our Construction Building Products division provides the Titebond brand of glues, adhesives and sealants for use in woodworking and all facets of residential and commercial construction.

We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift.

Job Duties:

  • Maintains and repairs all mechanical facilities and physical structures throughout the plant including pumps, boilers, air, water, reactor
  • Uses hand and power tools in performing tasks
  • Diagnoses problems, tears down, repairs and re-assembles intricate mechanisms and machines
  • Installs, adjusts tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies various electrical/mechanical equipment, electrical controls, PLC’s and instrumentation.
  • Performs repairs on buildings, roofs, structures and furniture
  • Assists technicians and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED required, additional education/certifications preferred
  • Must be available for possible mandatory overtime and weekend work
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Must have work experience in the following areas and be able to take a test demonstrating proficiency:
    • Arc welding
    • Mig welding
    • Tig welding
    • Stick Welding
    • PLCs
    • Electric
    • VFDs
    • HVAC
    • Pumps (air diaphragm, centrifugal, positive displacement, lobe, gear)
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • Gearboxes

Pay

  • $30.43-$35.64 per hour; plus a $1.75 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift
  • Level 1 opportunity starting at $24.73 per hour plus shift differential for little or no maintenance experience
  • Training hours during 1st shift will not include the shift differential
  • 2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm
