Job Title: Special Educational Assistant
Location: TBD (Student Support)
Qualifications for above position:
  • A high school diploma
  • A valid license to practice as an educational aide.
  • Passage of the Paraprofessional Test, Two year degree or CDA Certification (as applicable)
  • Child Abuse certification
  • Child First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Communicable Disease Certification
  • Clear BCI/FBI report
  • Classroom experience with handicapped students
  • Must be able to deal appropriately with students who exhibit emotional or behavioral problems, aggressive behavior, or physical problems
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.
