Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a PACU position requiring an active OH or compact license and 2+ years of RN experience.

Details
  • Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule from 8:30AM to 6PM using a 4x9 work week
  • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
  • Weekend call required one day (Saturday or Sunday) every 6 weeks
  • Night call required 4-5 times per 6-week schedule
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50-100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Additional Information
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
  • Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
  • Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
  • Notify physicians of pertinent changes in patient status
  • Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to co-workers and nursing assistants
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible documentation of care provided
  • Work in an environment with potential exposure to electrical equipment
