Overview

The Department of Radiology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Columbus, Ohio seeks a dedicated Pediatric Neuro‑Radiologist to join a growing multidisciplinary pediatric radiology practice of 30 faculty, providing care in all subspecialties of pediatric radiology. The applicant should be CAQ certified or eligible in pediatric radiology or neuroradiology, with fellowship or practice experience in pediatric neuroradiology. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be clinical, providing neuroimaging care as part of a collegial team of 6 neuroradiologists, using state‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment with advanced software packages, and with clinical providers committed to their patients via a one‑team approach. We encourage applications from trainees completing their fellowship in 2026 as well as practicing pediatric radiologists. Remote or hybrid arrangements can be considered. Alternate Pathway or Visa holders are supported and encouraged to apply.

Job Description Summary

Interprets medical images using advanced technology to diagnose and treat diseases or injuries.

Essential Functions
  • Analyzes medical images to diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries.
  • Communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases.
  • Interprets medical images to identify abnormalities or diseases.
  • Consults with patients to explain imaging procedures and results.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and reports.
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Education Requirement

Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school, or international equivalent.

Licensure Requirement

Ohio Medical License.

Certifications
  • Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology and Pediatric Radiology, or equivalent, from the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, or international equivalent.
Skills
  • Experience with radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine (with injection of radioactive materials), and interventional radiology.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally: Bend/twist, flex neck, push/pull <0–25lbs, lift carry 0–40lbs, lift blood or chemicals, patient equipment, loud noises, wheeling.
  • Frequently: Computer skills, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), repetitive hand/arm use, sitting, standing, walking.
  • Continuously: Audible speech, color vision, decision making, depth perception, hearing acuity, interpreting data, peripheral vision, problem solving, seeing far/near.
  • Additional: Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
