Job description

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Come join us at The Villas at St. Therese!  A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Assisted and Independent Living facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've provided spiritually motived care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years.  Caring for someone isn’t just a job, it’s a compassionate calling based on deep-rooted spiritual beliefs.  

We are seeking to hire a LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Part-Time.

  • 7am to 7:30pm on Saturday (Week 1) and Friday + Saturday (Week 2).
  • $29 to $32 per hour based on experience.

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications: 

  • Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Long-Term Care.

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Job Summary:

  • Record resident's medical history.
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe residents to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor resident's condition including fluid intake and output and compose resident charts.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, clean and dress wounds and other basic medical care tasks.
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
  • Communicate with resident's family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
