Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Tester for an onsite position. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API automation, database testing, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework.
Required Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in REST API automation testing (Karate or REST Assured).
Preferred Qualifications
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, is flexible, and is a strong team player.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with high attention to detail.
- Adept at mentoring junior QA engineers and partnering across engineering teams.
- Experience with the full SDLC and working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience with API contract testing, Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure) for API testing.
- Experience testing with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
- Familiarity with API mocking tools (WireMock/MockServer).
- Exposure to security testing concepts (OWASP API Security).
- Experience in banking/financial services, payments, or regulated enterprise applications.
