Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Landscaper for our client. This job involves maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor and building areas through landscaping, mowing, trimming, and general grounds upkeep. You’ll mow lawns, plant flowers, trim shrubs, and apply fertilizer or pesticides as needed.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties
  • Mow lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower
  • Cut lawns using a hand, power, or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
  • Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes and watering plants and grass as needed
  • Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others
  • Apply fertilizer to the ground to enhance growth
  • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling
  • Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties
  • Sweep walkways of debris
  • Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger
  • Trim shrubs and pull weeds as well as rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
  • Install rocks, cement, lighting, water, and furniture
  • Maintain the landscaping, mowing, and planting of flowers around a business or building
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Be a team player with an ability to work well with others
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to the whole shift
  • Ability to frequently lift cartons above (up to 8 feet overhead) or below shoulder level
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, including grasping and holding
  • Maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including working overtime and on weekends
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Communication skills.
  • Pass a background check and drug test
