Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years experience and ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification to support a pediatric hospital's echo team.

Details
  • Pediatric outpatient and ICU work settings including fetal echocardiography
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Uses GE and Philips equipment; Siemens charting system experience preferred
  • 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No call, holiday, or weekend coverage required
  • Assignment based at main campus and Close to Home locations, with staff remaining at one location per day
  • Floating to different units required depending on assignment needs
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric echocardiography
  • ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
  • ARDMS RDCS PE or RDCS certification required; RDCS AE and RDCS FE preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Proficiency in 2-D echo, color doppler, continuous wave doppler, pulsed wave doppler, and M-mode (preferred)
  • Experience with portable studies, routine scanning, and scanning complex anomalies (preferred)
  • Experience scanning post-surgical repairs (preferred)
  • Knowledge of pediatric anomalies including aortic arch abnormalities/vascular ring, coarctation of the aorta, coronary artery anomalies, double outlet ventricle, hypoplastic heart syndrome, pulmonary venous return anomalies, tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great vessels, and tricuspid/pulmonary atresia
  • Bubble studies experience preferred
  • Adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor/manager
Additional Information
  • Perform pediatric echocardiograms including fetal echo studies for ICU and outpatient populations
  • Punctuality is emphasized, with staff considered late after 3 minutes
  • Candidates who previously worked in a permanent role at the facility must have been separated for at least 2 years
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 60-mile radius
  • First-time travelers may be considered
