Job description

Job Description: Security Supervisor

Position Title: Security Supervisor
Location: Pataskala OH (15-20 minutes outside Downtown Columbus)


Position Summary:

The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations at an assigned site, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, property, and assets. This position provides leadership and direction to security officers, monitors post performance, enforces site policies and procedures, and serves as the primary point of contact between the security team, client representatives, and management.

The Security Site Supervisor conducts regular site inspections, interviews and screens potential candidates scheduled, reviews incident reports, responds to security concerns and emergencies, and provides guidance and training to security personnel. The supervisor is expected to maintain a professional presence, demonstrate sound judgment, communicate effectively, and ensure all security operations are conducted in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate is a dependable and proactive leader who can effectively manage personnel, resolve issues, maintain accurate documentation, respond calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations, and work with limited supervison.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. We are happy to train those without experience in the industry.
  • Certifications:
    • Security Officer License (where applicable).
    • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in using security systems, cameras, and basic office technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
  • Driving Eligibility: Posts requiring operation of a company vehicle will only be permitted for those over the age of 25 with a screened motor vehicle record. (Accidents and Violations are reviewed on a case by case basis)

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
  • Previous security and supervisory experience preferred
