Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Students must:
  • possess good organization, time management skills, and written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • must have basic familiarity with costume work, physical endurance, and performance artistry.
  • possess a friendly and engaging personality, with the ability to interact positively and represent the organization professionally.
  • be comfortable performing in a confined costume with limited visibility and mobility, adapting to different performance environments and situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Student who:
  • has an interest in marketing, communications, and public relations.
  • has excellent physical stamina and endurance to perform in a Mascot costume for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends to accommodate event schedules.

Summary of Duties:
Student employment provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while supporting campus programs and services.
In this postion, the student will:
  • Support the Marketing and Communications department by assisting with marketing campaigns, recruitment, retention, and public relations initiatives.
  • Represent the College at campus events, primarily outside of regular business hours, by serving as the institutional mascot and engaging with students, employees, and community members.
  • Maintain the mascot costume to ensure it is clean, safe, and performance-ready, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to promote college programs and enhance campus engagement.
