Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic
Job Description
This Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) role focuses on performing maintenance, repairs, and advanced modifications on a variety of corporate and commercial jets. The position begins as a 6‑month contract-to-hire opportunity and involves working on multiple airframes, including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Learjet, Challenger, and Lineage aircraft. You will use FAA- and industry-accepted practices to ensure all work meets regulatory and documentation standards while supporting both routine and heavy maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned maintenance activities on aircraft in accordance with FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling.
- Perform advanced aircraft modifications, including structural and systems changes on corporate and commercial jets.
- Carry out sheet metal repairs and address corrosion issues on aircraft structures and components.
- Perform landing gear removals, installations, inspections, and related maintenance tasks.
- Execute engine removals, installations, and associated powerplant maintenance activities.
- Conduct detailed aircraft inspections, including phase and heavy maintenance checks, to ensure airworthiness and compliance.
- Perform component repair and replacement on airframe and powerplant systems as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in strict accordance with maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other approved documentation.
- Follow established procedures for aircraft maintenance repair, including proper use of tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Support maintenance activities across multiple airframes such as Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna, Hawker, Learjet, Challenger, and Lineage aircraft.
Essential Skills
- Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working on corporate or commercial aircraft.
- Hands-on experience performing aircraft maintenance and repair on corporate jets.
- Proficiency in airframe maintenance, including sheet metal repair and corrosion control.
- Experience with powerplant mechanic duties, including engine removals and installations.

Work Environment
This role is based on a first shift schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work in a well-lit, temperature-controlled hangar environment with approximately 30 technicians and management staff. The facility is located within a modern flight hangar in Columbus and is equipped to support maintenance on a range of aircraft, including Gulfstream II, III, IV, V; Bombardier; Learjet 30, 40, and 60 series; Challenger 601, 604, 605; and Lineage aircraft. The environment emphasizes safety, collaboration, and professional maintenance standards while providing access to the tools and equipment required for corporate jet maintenance and repair.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
